Cetrimonium Chloride

MAQUAT CETAC-30% is a 30% active cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride in water with excellent substantive and anti-static properties for use in wide range of markets including: personal care, textiles and paper. MAQUAT CETAC-30% imparts exceptional wetting, cleaning, conditioning, softening, suspending and emulsification.

With over 35 years quat manufacturing experience, MAQUAT CETAC-30% is characteristically low color, low odor and reliably consistent batch to batch.

CETAC-30% is biodegradable, practically non-toxic orally, and contains no solvents or VOCs. MAQUAT CETAC-30% is typically used in hair conditioners and rinses, skin creams and lotions, as a cationic emulsifier, and as an anti-static and softening agent in textile applications.

Maquat CETAC-30%	3.0
Cetyl alcohol	3.0
Stearyl alcohol	1.0
Ceteareth-20	0.5
Enhansys M-110	1.0
Fragrance	q.s
Procedure:
Mix water and CETAC-30%, heat to 65°C.
Add Cetyl/Stearyl alcohols, and Ceteareth-20, heat to 75°C and hold for 30 minutes.
Cool to 45°C, add Enhansys M-110 and Fragrance.

Damaged hair, especially permed hair can be difficult to comb, especially when wet. Hair Conditioner products are generally oil-in-water emulsions in which the lipophilic conditioning quaternium ammonium salt is the active ingredient. The conditioning quat, along with the fatty alcohols impart wet-comb performance to the formulation.

ENHANSYS M-110 is a moisturizing, conditioning and formulation fortifying agent that contributes moisturization, improved wet-comb performance, reduction in irritation, while eliminating the need for traditional preservatives.
