C6 Fluoroaliphatic Sodium Sulfonate Fluorosurfactant

MASURF® FS-2620 is characterized as a 20% active C6 based fluoroaliphatic sodium sulfonate fluorosurfactant in a water/hexyleneglycol solution. With typical use levels of 50-500ppm, MASURF FS-2620 is effective at very low concentrations, and together with traditional hydrocarbon surfactants, can contribute properties not possible with either material alone.

MASURF FS-2620 is a superior surface tension and interfacial tension reduction agent for wetting and leveling performance unobtainable with silicone, acetylenic or traditional hydrocarbon surfactants. FS-2620 is stable in nonionic and anionic systems, and less hard water sensitive than competitive materials.

When formulated into Cleaning Products, FS-2620 imparts exceptional wetting and leveling for penetrating cleaners/strippers and uniform drying properties for non-streak cleaners. The superior wetting performance of FS-2620 results in improved film uniformity in Floor Finishes, Water Based Coatings and as an additive in Fiber Finishes.

Masurf FS-2620 is a 20% active fluoroaliphatic sodium sulfonate fluorosurfactant in a water/hexyleneglycol solution. FS-2620 is an effective wetting and interfacial tension reducing agent. The chart below illustrates the superior performance of MASURF FS-2620 versus other C6 based materials: Fluowet SB and Zonyl FS-62.

Masurf FS-Fluorosurfactant evaluation guidelines-
Masurf FS-Fluorosurfactants are effective at very low concentrations, typically 50-500 ppm, and can act synergistically with hydrocarbon and/or silicone surfactants. Evaluate in aqueous formulations at 0.1% active Masurf FS-Fluorosurfactant initially, then optimize by successively reducing the FS concentration by ½.

Masurf FS-Fluorosurfactants and Masurf FP-Fluoropolymers do not contain PFOS. Masurf FS and FP products are manufactured with telomerization process fluoroaliphatic intermediates that do not contain, release or have been shown to degrade to perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS).
